How can you protect your hearing during rehearsal?
Before rehearsals I do a scale on the trumpet to test out the volume and to see if need to play louder or quieter. Also I play the music quiet at first and then I add the dynamic (crescendo and diminuendo).

How can a mixture of repertoire(quiet and loud) help protect your hearing?
By having quiet and loud music if means that in the quiet you don't have to put as much effort into it but still need to get the timing right because some people play slower when playing quiet.
Should you rehearse with loud or quiet sound levels? Why?
With loud and quiet music create a range of skills being shown to your audience. This shows that you are creating a good range of dynamics and the audience will like your performance.
How much time out(silence time)should you have during your rehearsal? Why?
After playing the trumpet your lips begin to get dry and you won't be able to get as high. I would reckon about 5-10 minutes rest the back to playing.Describe a suitable venue for rehearsal, why is it suitable?
The hall or a small room because I don't want to disturb anyone when playing and in the hall it creates a better sound because is echos.
